Quiz games for adults and parties
Host a quiz night on the TV: a category board, survey rounds, team scores and a buzzer, run from one laptop or phone.
Setting up a game night
- Connect a laptop to the TV, or cast a browser tab.
- Make 5 or 6 categories that fit your group: music by decade, films, local history, the office, the couple at a wedding party.
- Add two or three survey rounds. Ask your guests the questions by message a week before and use their real answers.
- Split into teams of 3 to 6 and press Play.
Themes that work
- Office party: company trivia, “who said it”, guess the year.
- Wedding or birthday: questions about the guests of honour.
- Holidays: start from a holiday sample game and add your own.
- Pub-style quiz: general knowledge, music, sport, science and geography.
Host tips
Read each question twice. Decide in advance whether close answers count. Keep a final 500-point tile per category for a tense finish, and keep the −100 button for teams that shout out of turn.
